This morning I woke up to a twitter notifications avalanche, thanks to the lovely Rainbow Rowell tweeting a piece of Fangirl fanart I foisted (today is an alliterative day it would seem) on her at her Birmingham event recently, and realized I’d not posted it. Here we go!
Fangirl is a really gorgeous novel, with a fantastic family/sibling story – definitely check it out if you’ve not read it. There’s also a special edition (UK) out atm w/ extra illos by the awesome Noelle Stevenson 🙂
I know this is two posts in one day, but I wanted to get this up as I’ll be away for the next week. I’ll be sending out a batch of children’s illo postcards soon – hopefully when I get back in about a week. They consist of sample from a recent job illustrating children’s activity trails for two age groups for a museum’s natural history collection, plus a personal promo piece.
If I’ve any followers who are editors or ADs working with children’s or YA content, who would like to request a copy, please send over your address in the next week via the contact form on the site or at sally (at) sallyjanethompson.co.uk!
Having wrapped up a few jobs recently, I thought I’d post some peeks at what sort of things I’ve been up to!
Slain was a small/medium job involving not-too-many pages that got going almost a year ago. So as often happens, time goes by and it ends up being a bit of a nice surprise when something like this shows up in the mail:
