Hello! Apologies for the lack of FF this week. I’m currently off at Thought Bubble. (Hurrah!) ((Table 133/4 in New Dock Hall, if you’re there!))
For now, I thought I’d mention, as November winds down, that I’m participating in Gallery of Mo again this year, where you can get a dashing moustachioed portrait by me for a donation to men’s health for Movember!
For those who will be in Leeds this weekend, here’s where you can find me! I’m sharing tables 133 and 134 in New Dock Hall with the wonderful Zarina Liew and Van Nim!
What I’ll have with me: First and foremost, Atomic Sheep! I’ll have copies for sale at a convention special price, and will sketch inside for you, so you should definitely come and pick up a copy! ^_~ I’ll also have the last handful of copies of Now and Then with me…I’m not sure I’ll be reprinting these in the near future, so if you’d like to snag a copy of this beauty, now’s the time! I’ll also have From, minicomic Candy Bag, and limited numbers of fine art prints, including this one.
Sketches? Yes! I’ll be offering quick A5 sketches – just £5 for a general topic (eg), £10 for portraits! If you’d like something more involved though, stop by and ask…I may very well be able to fit it in!
See you there! 🙂
Forgive me, freelance pals! I look like this today.
The ability to delay work a bit if you’re unwell, or things come up, is one of the great blessings of freelance work. But of course, that shifted work always has to go somewhere else in the schedule (something it can sometimes be hard to get others to understand, with your ‘flexible schedule’ – but that’s a post in itself!). So lots of catchup for me next week ^_~
Sorry for the lack of a Freelance Friday post today – I am down at MCM London Comic Con for the weekend! If you’re there, come say hi (or better still, buy things from me! ^_~ ) at table CL1 in Comic Village! For those not at MCM, I’ll also be at Comica Comiket the weekend after, and at Thought Bubble a few weeks after that.
See you next week!
Quick post to mention that Atomic Sheep is now available on Comixology for just $4.99!
If you’d like to pick it up, buying it from here means a cut goes to fantastic comics retailer/supported Page 45, at no cost to you! Yay!
Updates to the Atomic Sheep site coming soon!
Okay, so I’ve got a slightly mellower schedule for the next month or so than the previous few, so I’m going to open commissions for a while! I don’t do this very often, so it’s a good time if you’d like something from me!
Commissions will be done to all be sent by the end of March, and I’ll close either at that point or when my slate is full, whichever comes first (despite being less manic atm, I can only take a limited amount, so get in touch sooner rather than later to make sure! 🙂
Read on for prices and info (long post warning)!
Hi all! Okay, so this is a little later than I meant it to be, but I know I can’t be the only one still to send their cards ^_~
So, a Christmas gift from me to you! PDF’s of a large format Christmas card with this year’s Christmas artwork – focussed on warm times with people you care about – which you can print at home! 150 dpi for home printing, for both North American and International paper sizes! I hope it spreads some smiles 🙂
DOWNLOAD PDF for A4 printers!
DOWNLOAD PDF for 8.5 x 11 printers!
Happy Christmas, and thanks for all the support, retweets, encouragement and interest this year. Lots more art and stories coming your way in 2013!
Happy Halloween everyone! What are you dressing up as? (I am sadly dressing up as a cartoonist with deadlines and no time to make an awesome costume. Ah well.)
As you’re reading this, you may have already noticed a few changes. Thanks to my fantastic webmaster(/husband), we’ve had a site-wide update! The blog is still currently on the old system, but you should notice some changes in the menu above, and if you poke around a bit you’ll see a new homepage, more information in the About section, a list of webcomics and books in the Comics section, and new work in the Gallery!
I know this is two posts in one day, but I wanted to get this up as I’ll be away for the next week. I’ll be sending out a batch of children’s illo postcards soon – hopefully when I get back in about a week. They consist of sample from a recent job illustrating children’s activity trails for two age groups for a museum’s natural history collection, plus a personal promo piece.
If I’ve any followers who are editors or ADs working with children’s or YA content, who would like to request a copy, please send over your address in the next week via the contact form on the site or at sally (at) sallyjanethompson.co.uk!
Hi all! Apologies for the radio silence over here. My fantastic webmaster (aka husband) and I have been working on a big site update, so I’ve been staying off the blog to make it easier to move everything over, but we’ve decided to use the current blog for a bit longer to get the rest of the site updated sooner. Will post and tweet and make general noise when that happens! 🙂
Since it’s been a while, I thought a little snapshot of a few current projects might be nice – I’ve got more than this going on, and some cool bits hopefully starting soon, but hopefully it’ll be an interesting overview!
